PEOPLE GET WOWED EVEN WHEN I MIME OTHERS' SONGS- I.B.Y

I NEVER SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS THAN THE BEST- MART MORIN
The real Michael Jackson might be gone but the Students of Ahmadu Bello University, expecially those at the Samaru campus and even others schools are always being reminded of his legacy and thrilling moves when ever Mart Morin Steps on stage. He is an embodiment of flawless execution of MJ's moves and also loves to put in some local flavour in his steps. I can go on and on till I begin to sound like i'm just blabbing but catch him sometime in his element (on stage) and you'll get what am talking about. Born Martins Amorin in a Family of Six, and currently studying for a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies, Mart Morin tells us about what makes him tick and also what attracts him to a beat to feel the urge to dance to. Enjoy:
Q: Tell us about your childhood as it relates to entertainment and the journey to where you are now.
I started my entertainment career at the age of 6. I've always been crazy bout being better than the person I call my mentor-Micheal Jackson. I remained glued to his styles in performance just because of the passion I've always had and still do. I'm like a portrait of passion, perserverance, and patience because am always keen at achieving whats never been onboard in the history of entertainment and my visions at rebranding the dance mentality of local enthusiasts are way beyond what other people would ever think I'll be capable of doing. I always have my best moments when I'm on stage. Since my childhood till now, i have never ran outta ideas...cos I am always thoughtful about entertaining the people I have around.
Q: Nice!!!! So what are your most treasured moments as a performer?
My most treasured moments are undoubtly when doing ma thang infront of ma lively Fanz...
Q: So what attracts you to the songs you dance to since its not just MJ's tracks you perform to, what attracts you to a song that makes you go like, yeah I gota dance to that?
First and foremost I'm versatile. The attraction I get first comes from the beat of da song. I like kicks on tracks especially when its something created out of da ordinary. Second is da melody. But da beat is the MAJOR attraction.
Q: Hmmm!!!! So lets talk fans, how would you describe your fans; their mode of reception when it comes to your presentations and ofcourse paparazi in school?
Splendid. There's this force and this spirit they fill da environment with when I perform. Its really one of da most incredible thing I get from them. Its indeed greater than a million roar of lions.
Q: So who is that one special celebrated dancer you hope to dance with or for and why?
It was suppose to be MJ becuase he's spectacular talent is responsible for my today's growth in wat I do(dance) but since he is late, the likes of Chris Brown and P-square are the great dancers I'd love to work with or for.
Q: So love life.. Who are you dancing with when it comes to the melodies of tha heart or are you riding solo?
(Laughs) Riding solo....and soooo so so so so ready to mingle.
Q: All this celeb wey una dey form single at the expense of others sef. I no dey there oh. (Laughing) So whats your philosophy of life, that mentality that keeps you going?
Never settle for anything less than da best. Passion moves you!
Q: Thats deep bro.. Really deep. So any last words for your fans and the Campus Vibes Universe?
Fanz I love Yaul. Y'all cook yourselves and bring out tha best in you. Persevere and do good at all times!!
Q: Nice one man and thanks for your time. Hope you'll teach me some of those girls picking moves too (Laughing)
(Laughing) Dan iska. You welcome.

IYANYA TO LAUNCH FOUNDATION FOR ORPHANS
By Kolapo Olapoju
Nigerian Artiste and former project fame winner, Iyanya Mbuk, has
announced the launch of his social responsibility project ’The Iyanya
Foundation’, which will cater to orphans and less privileged members of
society.
Iyanya, himself an orphan, says he’s hoping to use the NGO to help orphans across the country make their lives better.
He wrote on his Instagram page ‘(I’m) One of the very few orphans
that had the opportunity to become great and influential in the society
through my music and with MTN giving me the platform through Project
Fame. Not every talented boy/girl on the street today will be as
fortunate as Iyanya. Through this Foundation, our drive is to help and
establish as many orphans.’
Iyanya has lost both parents and an only brother. He has a tattoo on
his chest as a constant reminder of his deceased family members.

NET SPECIAL FEATURE: THE MOST INFLUENCIAL PEOPLE IN NIGERIA'S ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY
By Osagie Alonge, chief correspondent and Victor Enengedi, senior correspondent
They are artistes, actors, thinkers,
entrepreneurs, and captains of industry. Their ideas spark dialogue and
dissent and sometimes even controversies; their works shape lives,
habits and societies; their actions have led to some of the decisions
that have stirred the industry in its current direction. These
remarkable men and women, with lasting and laudable influence, do not
necessarily make the most popular people in the industry, but their
actions carry a lot of weight; with the hope of the future resting on
their shoulders.
2face Idibia:
From his artistry to passion for change, the Pop king of Africa has
continued to use his music as a muse to influence all. Through his
foundation, ‘2face Idibia Reach-Out Foundation’,
Idibia, an icon by every definition, has dedicated a great amount of
time, effort and resources towards reaching out to fellow humans in
need.
Alex Okosi: As Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Viacom International, Africa, Okosi continues to showcase Africa to the world and vice versa with the MTV, BET, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central platforms. Okosi is one of the top dogs determining the present and future of entertainment on TV.
Ali Baba: Still at the top of the food chain when it concerns comedy in Nigeria, Ali Baba,
a pioneer stand-up comedian is not only responsible for making the
trade profitable, he continues to use his influence to hold up the
platform for others to shine.
Amaka Igwe: A strong pillar in Nollywood,
Igwe’s undying love for motion picture has helped her carve a niche for
herself whether with her famous soap operas or her annual BOBTV TV expo. Her Lagos-based radio station, Top Radio has also become a force to reckon with.
Amin Moussalli: The Lebanese boss actually started doing
business in Nigeria as far back as 1975 with his AIM architectural
company but his love for broadcasting drove him to create radio stations
Cool FM, Wazobia FM and later on Nigeria Info with his daughter Evita
in the helm of affairs. These stations have become one of the biggest
outfits in Nigeria reaching millions in four different cities.
Audu Maikori: It’s been rocky times at Chocolate City
in the last seven months but Maikori, a lawyer and entrepreneur has
shown nothing but exemplary skills in stirring the entertainment label
through murky waters. With A-list acts like M.I. and Ice Prince, Chocolate City still remains one of the biggest music labels in Africa. Don’t be surprised if they announce an IPO soon.
Ayo Animashaun: Through his Smooth Promotions company, Animashaun, 43, has launched some of the most relevant entertainment platforms including ‘The Headies’ and the 24-hour channel ‘Hip TV’ which launches on DSTV this month.
Bolanle Austen Peters: Peters is the soul of Terra Kulture -
a highly recognised cultural hub set up to promote the richness and
diversity of Nigerian languages, arts and culture. Respected for
enabling the sustenance of live theatre in Lagos, she’s now executing
the big-budget SARO musical that’s already receiving critical acclaim.
In eight years of existence, Terra Kulture has organised no less than 60
plays, over 100 exhibitions, and approximately 10,000 children have
been through their language, culture clubs and excursions.
Biola Alabi : Managing Director at M-NET
Africa over the last four years, Alabi has engineered the process of
bringing top African content to our doorsteps. This year, she birthed
the successful and well rated African Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCAs).
Chika Nwobi: Nwobi is a serial entrepreneur. From MTech-
a leading mobile content company in Africa to Jobberman.com-West
Africa’s most popular jobs portal to Cheki.com.ng-Nigeria’s leading
cars/autos website to Kamdora.com a fast growing e-commerce fashion
retail business in Nigeria, Nwobi has successfully built mobile and
internet-related companies; using unusual techniques to link IT with
entertainment while delivering value for consumers and helping Telcos
excite a generation in love with music.
Chris Ubosi: He is the CEO of Megalectrics Limited, owners of Premium choice BEAT 99.9FM, retro-styled Classic FM 93.7 and pidgin-speaking Naija FM 102.7, which have all continued to dominate their respective fields. Ubosi, who seems to be warming up to the cameras nowadays has also launched a sister station in Ibadan and will be setting up a TV channel real soon.
Clarence Peters: Three of out every five videos seen on Nigerian TV is directed by Clarence Peters. As the CEO of a record label called Capital Hill Records and a multimedia content creation company called CAPital Dream Pictures,
he has shot a good number of videos, documentaries, TV commercials,
short films and TV features. Clarence is no doubt the most sought after
video director in the music industry so much that his name has become
synonymous with top quality musical videos.
D’banj:
In the last 12 months, the self-styled entertainer has brushed off any
kind of doubt about whether he can progress career-wise after his split with former Mo’Hits partner Don Jazzy. Whether it’s performing at the finale of African Cup of Nations, collaborating with US artistes, headlining Hennessy Artistry or becoming the face of the Bank of Industry, D’banj
has shown constant sheer determination and dominance. And there’s an
indefinitely long list of young cats praying day and night to have a
quarter of his blessings.
DJ Jimmy JATT: He
is rated as one of the biggest and most iconic deejays in Africa. An
innovator, teacher, speaker and performer, Jimmy Jatt has helped nurture
the careers and influenced many deejays in Nigeria. There’s hardly any
hiphop artiste in Nigeria that doesn’t pledge allegiance to the
legendary but unbelievably humble deejay.
Don Jazzy: From music production, Don Jazzy
remains one of the most relevant entertainment personalities in Africa
(a formula his colleagues have not been able to crack yet) with every
artiste out there asking for a beat or two from him. Little wonder he
keeps bagging multimillion Naira endorsement deals. An ambassador for Loya Milk and MTN,
IDJA is the producer every producer wants to be like, the pop star who
has no single to his name; the enigmatic music maker that’s giving an
entirely new definition to impresario.
Edi Lawani: Sometimes referred to as the Godfather, Lawani has
built a name in the corporate and entertainment scene working as
technical consultant, events manager and adviser to organisations and
talent. His agency, Showbiz Network is one of the longest running
homegrown entertainment organisations, and many of today’s big names in
technical support and events management have the bearded gentleman to
thank.
Efe Omorogbe: The co-founder and HNIC of Nigeria’s leading talent management company, Now Muzik, Omorogbe
continues to be a major force in the development of entertainment in
Nigeria. He recently setup Now Muzik en.Core, a sister company which
handles events and campaigns.
Emeka Mba: A former Regulatory Affairs Manager at Multichoice
Nigeria and later Director General of the Nigerian Film and Video
Censors Board (NFVCB), Mba’s recent appointment as Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) was
met with applause from stakeholders who understand what he brings to
the table. The NBC is the regulatory body for broadcast organisations in
Nigeria.
Femi Ayeni: Ayeni, founder of Ultima, the company which owns two very big franchises in Nigeria might not have a popular name but his shows Project Fame West Africa and Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Though quiet and publicity shy, Ayeni has handed many successful entertainers their careers – that list will include Iyanya, Chidinma and Frank Edoho who rose to national fame on WWTBAM.
Femi Kuti:
The son of the late great Afrobeat legend has clearly carved a niche
for himself, warming up nicely into contemporary music (working with Wizkid, LNC, Jesse Jagz, Durella) and modern TV (Kuti is a judge on Nigerian Idol). These have however not shut him up from voicing out his opinion against bad governance.
Funke Akindele:
The Nollywood actress has bagged the highest number of endorsement
deals and produced more bestselling movies than anyone in her category.
Her hilarious character, Jenifa has now become one of the most popular
characters in Nollywood. And despite going through a well-publicized separation, Akindele’s image remains intact, her following unaffected; her endorsements intact.
Genevieve Nnaji: Hardly can you mention top actresses in Africa without placing her in the top 2. US talk show host, Oprah Winfrey described her as the Julia Roberts of Africa, while Elle magazine recently profiled her as one of the 7 international acts soon to cross over to international success.
Nnaji’s profiling on the international scene has been a big boost to
her career, although she has slowed down on local appearances in recent
times.
Ibinabo Fiberesima: She became the first woman to lead the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria
when she was sworn in as President in November 2012. Ibinabo
Fiberesima, an actress and a former beauty queen now presides over one
of the most influential organisations in Nigeria’s entertainment
industry.
Jason Njoku: By creating the iROKO triad- iROKOtv, iROKING and IROKtv , he is credited for creating what the international media has described as the ‘Netflix of Africa,‘ Njoku has combined technology and creativity to satisfy the ever-growing needs of Nollywood fans across the world, ranking in the Forbes ‘African millionaires to watch’ list. His idea now caters for millions of Nigerians who chose to go online to source music and Nollywood movies.
King Sunny Ade: A perfect example of consistency, King Sunny Ade
boasts of a career that has spanned over five decades. KSA is an
important voice in the Nigerian entertainment industry particularly in
regards to music as he uses his influence, contacts and resources to
affect major decisions in many of the music organisations; while serving
as mentor and inspiration to many.
Kunle Afolayan: He is one of the most prolific film directors in Nigeria. From his debut production ‘Irapada‘ to the critically reviewed action-drama ‘Figurine‘, the accounting graduate has shown finesse in all his work. His recent project, October 1,
still in the making has generated the most publicity-ever for a yet to
be released flick. Afolayan is seen by many pundits as the face of ‘new
Nollywood’.
KWAM 1: A prolific recording artist, KWAM1
updated the Fuji style incorporating Western instruments to give it
that youth-oriented theme. That singular innovation opened up the genre
to a hitherto uninterested segment. With a career now spanning over
three decades, the self-acclaimed King of Fuji music continues to
influence and appeal both the old and young in fuji other genres.
Linda Ikeji: From gossip to breaking news stories, Linda Ikeji’s blog has become a hotspot for many online readers. From a business and career that has taken her seven years to build, Miss Ikeji’s blog has become a phenomenal success earning her millions in annual turnover;
building a profile as Nigeria’s most successful blogger. What that
means? The bachelorette now belongs to the elite group of opinion
moulders and news shapers.
M.I: They call him the Chairman. Jude Abaga aka M.I.
has set a standard for aspiring rappers, for being able to appeal both
to the so called hiphop heads and those with no idea in the world what
the art form is about. He is sometimes regarded as the best rapper in
Nigeria and has a lot in fan base to show for it.
Mo’ Abudu: Following the huge success of her talk show ‘Moments with Mo‘,
Mosunmola Abudu
has built for herself a strong repertoire. Often referred to as the
Oprah Winfrey of Africa, her show for years enjoyed high ratings on DSTV. Recently she launched her own channel, EbonyLife TV, Africa’s first global black entertainment network.
Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde: As one of the most decorated actresses in Africa, Omotola’s scored a bygone when she made it to TIME magazine’s 2013 edition of the ‘100 Most Influential People in the World’. Her TV reality series, ‘Omotola: The Real Me’
generated a landmark viewership on M-NET’s Africa Magic when it
debuted, and the mother-of-four is now warming up for international
break.
Psquare: Sold out shows and tours in Africa, Europe and America,
earth shaking hit songs and videos. A multitude of fans stadiums cannot
contain. Psquare have been on the top 3 mark for so long it’s beginning
to look like their birth right.
Peace Fiberesima: For 12 years she has been behind the African Movie Awards (AMAA), gathering movie stars from all over Africa. Fiberesima
has positioned the awards show as one of the most credible and
consistent honorary shows. Often described as the ‘African Oscars‘, AMAA
awards has now become a standard for actors to measure their
performance every year.
Rotimi Pedro: With Nigerian Idol, X-Factor and Nigeria’s Got Talent grabbing big market shares, Rotimi Pedro, the Optima Media Group‘s
founder, is rapidly becoming a major force to reckon with. The sports
veteran and his team are delivering entertainment to millions of
Nigerians while giving many an opportunity to kick off their careers.
And he’s just secured the right to launch Bloomberg here, according to
NET findings.
Sam Onyemelukwe: He earned the rights to bring the foremost music channel, TRACE TV to Nigeria building it from the scratch.
Onyemelukwe, a former country manager for MTV has utilized his
experience and knowledge in the terrain to establish TRACE TV as a
channel of choice for many young Nigerians.
Tajuddeen Adepetu: From what
began with creating content programming for several terrestrial TV
stations, Adepetu has gone on to establish his own cable TV channel and
TV station. Both Soundcity and ONTV,
popular among young Nigerians, have now become household names when it
comes to pure entertainment. Other assets include Spice TV which wil
launch as a full channel on DSTV in a matter of months, and social media
platform Buddie.
The Murray-Bruces: The
Murray-Bruces have played many major roles in taking Nigerian
entertainment to the next level. Spearheaded by Ben Murray-Bruce, the
family has not only succeeded in radio and TV broadcasting, but also
made cinema culture fashionable again, with the Silverbird Cinemas. Their ‘Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria‘ pageant has lost credibility and popularity, but remains the nation’s leading pageant.
Tony Okoroji: Okoroji is one of the most important factors in collective rights management and administration in Nigeria. Working
with the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), Okoroji has spearheaded
the recognition of mechanical and associated rights, while making sure
radio stations, TV channels and others who exploit music pay what’s due
rights owners. The jury is still out on whether that segment should be liberalized.
Tunde Kelani: A pioneer and veteran by every definition, Kelani’s brilliance in cinematography and storytelling is second to none. With over 20 films made under his Mainframe Productions,
Kelani has been setting standards for as long as we can remember. The
movie producer/director/writer is one of the major influences in the
Nigerian movie industry till date.
Uche Eze: She is the popular blogger and owner of fashion and lifestyle blog BellaNaija . BellaNaija remains
a one stop shop for single and married women who are interested in
wedding news, gossip and fashion. And even though the likes of Linda Ikeji have surpassed her in ranking, Bella remains queen, with enough international acclaim to last a lifetime.
Wizkid: At just 23, Ayo ‘Wizkid’ Balogun
is a kid whose achievements will make some legends jealous. From an
unsure wannabe, the hit-maker has grown to become a superstar, with a
strong influence on today’s sound while many teens are feeding daily on
his style and- permit us – swagger. Now warming up to be an
entrepreneur, Wizzy has it all working.

MAN CATCHES HIS WIFE CHEATING DAYS AFTER THEIR WEDDING
A man was broken hearted when he caught his wife cheating a few days after their wedding.
The man was devastated that his newlywed wife was cheating on him within the first month of their marriage.
Armson Ndlovu of Zimbabwe, could not come to terms with the fact that his wife, who married him and promised to spend the rest of his life with him until death, cheated on him with her former boyfriend immediately after the marriage.
Ndlovu, who lives in the suburb of Emakhandeni, Bulawayo, told the court that he started cheating on his wife after she cheated on him a few days after their wedding. Ndlovu decided to take revenge against his new wife by cheating with her cousin, who was identified as Beverly.
However, he was busted and his cheating was discovered by his wife’s sisters, who walked in on the two having sex. The women allegedly beat their brother-in-law over the affair.
Now, Ndlovu asked the court for a protective order against his sisters-in-law, accusing them of interfering with his marriage. He wants his wife’s sisters to stop sticking their noses in their sex lives.
Ndlovu did not deny being caught having sex with his wife's cousin. However, he said: “I caught my wife cheating on me a week after our wedding.”

5 WAYSS TO STAY YOUNG AND FIT BY JOEY GREANY
Break a sweat every day
Challenge yourself every day to participate in a physical activity
that causes you to get out of breath or sweat. To change your body, you
must train outside of your comfort zone. If you like your body the way
it is, then don't stress it. But if you want to build strength, get a
six-pack or lose fat, then work hard.
When exercising, you should not be able to carry on a conversation
with your buddy. (Don't get me started on people reading a magazine on
the treadmill.) Next time you're at the gym:
- Increase your weights
- Hit the incline on your treadmill or run hills
- Add a plyometrics workout
- Combine strength training with various rounds of conditioning; for example, perform a Overhead Shoulder Press, then sprint on a treadmill at nine mph on a six-inch incline for 30 seconds. Rest for 90 seconds and repeat four times.
Go back to grade school
You did it all when you were younger: jumped rope, climbed trees,
went bike riding and ran sprints around the playground. You couldn't sit
still long enough to stay at a desk or computer like you do now.
Become more active. Go for a walk or jog in the morning before
starting your day. Join a group fitness class, recreational league, swim
club, ski or bowling team.
Use what you have
Look around and take a quick inventory of what's available to
exercise with. Do you have a bike, rope, old tires to flip, chains to
pull, balls to throw, boxes to jump on or paint cans to carry? If you
have some of this stuff and a creative mind, you can put together a
great workout. You don't need a expensive gym membership to look
expensive. (Got a rope? Five Reasons to Go Back to Basics With the Jump Rope.)
Eat clean
By eating as clean as you can, you'll automatically avoid foods
loaded with sugar, trans fat, and saturated fat. Eat foods that display a
variety of colors more frequently, and keep everything in moderation.
Plan time to go to the grocery store so you are not rushed. Also, plan
your weekly meals ahead of time. (See What's Fake and What's Real? The Ultimate Food Survival Guide and No, Really—Don't Shop When You're Hungry: A Study.)
Rest as hard as you work
There's a fine line between the amount of work you do and the rest
that you allow yourself. Rest can take the form of physical rest, or,
for most of us, mental rest. Exercising, deep breathing, and vacations
will take care of your mental rest. If you feel physically exhausted,
try switching up your workout routine or take a week off. You will come
back fresh and ready to do more.

War Against Indiscipline: ABACHA'S CHILDREN ATTACK WOLE SOYINKA OVER HIS STATEMENT AND NIGERIANS FIRE BACK AT THEM
JUST INCASE YOU DIDNT KNOW THIS HAPPENED!!!
On Saturday March 1, Nobel laureate prof. Wole Soyinka said sharing
the Centenary Award with late military dictator, Gen. Sani Abacha, is an
insult. Due to this statement, two children of the late maximum
dictator, General Sani Abacha, on Wednesday singled out Nobel Laureate,
Prof. Wole Soyinka, for a venomous attack. While Gumsu, the late
dictator’s daughters, took to her Twitter page to pass disparaging
remarks on him, her brother Sadiq chose blogs and online forums to snarl
abuses at the widely respected Professor.
Abacha's son said Soyinka is a “common writer” who has grown old and fast “losing his grasp of reality.”
But Nigerians have been responding to the spoilt brats adequately. Below are some reactions:
“When Abacha’s children begin to run commentary on Wole Soyinka, you wonder if they were too young to know their father. There is no need to remind the Abachas of the sorrow their father brought upon Nigeria.
“I blame President Jonathan for his short memory. Today it is Wole Soyinka, tomorrow it may be Gani Fawehinmi. The Abachas are enjoying the freedom of expression their father repressed.”
Those are the words of Babatunde Rosanwo.
Hours after Sadiq’s article was circulated online, Ayo Sogunro, who
described himself as a young Nigerian who sees Soyinka as his
“socio-political” father, took to his blog to defend the literary icon.
In his post, he said the Abacha reign “have been the worst years of
my material life as a Nigerian citizen”, noting that the attacks on
Soyinka amounted to a “misguided filial bravery.”
“You (Sadiq Abacha) can never eradicate the infamy of your father’s
legacy by trying to point out the failings of another Nigerian. No
length of finger pointing will wash away the odious feeling the name
Abacha strikes up in the mind of the average Nigerian.
“Wole Soyinka did not antagonize your father just because he was a
military man —Wole Soyinka was against your father’s inhumanity. Your
father was intolerant of criticism beyond belief,” Sogunro stressed.
Lending a voice to the outrage, a public relations practitioner,
Isioma Osaje, wrote on Twitter that no matter the amount of mudslinging
from the late dictator’s family, they cannot distort history.
She said, “You (Sadiq and Gumsu) should know that it is unfortunate
that he is your father. But Abacha was everything he is accused of and
more. A thief is a thief, father or not. His sins are not your sins
unless you were cohorts and while it is admirable that you defend your
father, it does not change history.”
Also, Tobi Amoo, who claimed to have once attended the same school
with Sadiq, cautioned the duo against further spewing rubbish in an
attempt to get back at Soyinka.
“Sadiq Abacha was actually a year my senior in Maitama during his
father’s terrible reign,” he said. “If my father were a thief and
murderer, I’d keep quiet when people talked about it, not spew crap as
if na only me sabi speak oyinbo. If your father is a thief and you speak

PRESIDENCY URGES SUNUSI TO RESPOND TO CHARGES AGAINST HIM RATHER THAN MISINFORM THE PUBLIC
President Goodluck Jonathan in a press release ON Wednesday asked the
CBN governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi to respond to charges against him
rather than reportedly misinforming the public.
Find the State House press release below...
We have noted with disappointment, the unrelenting attempt by the
Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi to falsely
portray his recent suspension from office as an attempt by the
Presidency to bury his allegation that huge sums of money due to the
Federation Account are unaccounted for by the Nigerian National
Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
The Presidency wishes to reaffirm that Mallam Sanusi’s suspension has
absolutely nothing to do with his unproven and inconsistent claim that
$49.8 Billion, $12 Billion or $20 Billion is missing from the national
treasury. Continue...
As was clearly stated in the letter suspending him from office and
confirmed by President Goodluck Jonathan in his last Presidential Media
Chat, Mallam Sanusi’s suspension was wholly based on the need for him to
step aside while the weighty charges of financial recklessness, gross
misconduct and persistent disregard for laid down rules and regulations
in the management of the Central Bank made against him by the Financial
Reporting Council of Nigeria and others are properly investigated.
It is most unfortunate that instead of trying to provide some
reasonable response to the clear and unambiguous query of his official
conduct as Governor of the Central Bank, Mallam Sanusi has cynically
chosen to whip up public sympathy for himself and anger against the
Federal Government by deliberately misleading unwary Nigerians and the
international community into believing the falsehood that he is being
punished for exposing corruption.
In recent days, the suspended CBN Governor has, following in the
footsteps of others who have an axe to grind with the government, taken
to spreading his false claims and allegations through gullible foreign
media correspondents, telling them among other things that his threat to
force commercial banks to open up their books to unravel the
whereabouts of the “missing” funds whether $49.8 Billion, $12 Billion or
$20 Billion, ultimately led to his suspension.
He also continues to make the mischievous claim that the government
is somehow involved in a scam to divert huge sums of money from the
Federation Account through the misappropriation of kerosene subsidy
funds.
Mallam Sanusi’s allegations are patently untrue. But Government is
making no effort to bury them as he falsely claims. Relevant committees
of the National Assembly are still investigating the claims and the
suspended CBN Governor remains free to give evidence before them in
support of his allegations.
Furthermore, in keeping with its avowed commitment to full
transparency, openness and accountability in governmental affairs, the
Federal Government has authorized the engagement of reputable
international firms for the recommended forensic audit of NNPC accounts.
The Presidency condemns Mallam Sanusi’s resort to playing politics
with serious national issues. His suggestion that the phantom missing
funds may have been diverted to fund campaigns for next year’s general
elections is mischievous, irresponsible and designed to incite other
political parties and members of the public against the Federal
Government.
The claim which amounts to cheap blackmail against the government and
was clearly made in furtherance of a selfish personal agenda is most
unbecoming of someone who still holds the High Office of Governor of the
Central Bank of Nigeria.
The Presidency would not ordinarily have wished to join issues with
Mallam Sanusi who as CBN Governor remains an appointee of the President,
but the very unacceptable manner in which Sanusi has been misinforming
the public made it imperative that this statement be issued.
OYA SUNUSI, BACKFIRE!!

HOUSE OF REPS UNVEIL FRESH MISSING N35billion
According to a report by Punch, the House of Reps on March
13th uncovered another missing N35billion. Read the full report below...
More revelations by the House of Representatives Committee on Public
Accounts indicated on Thursday that the Office of the Head of Service of
the Federation could not account for N35bn it collected from the
Service Wide Vote within nine years.
While the records of the Budget Office of the Federation showed that
the OHSF received N52bn between 2004 and 2012, the Permanent Secretary,
Mr. Remi Adelakun, admitted only N17.6bn.
The committee, which is chaired by Mr. Solomon Olamilekan, insisted on Thursday that Adelakun must explain how the N35bn was spent. At Thursday’s session, the permanent secretary and officials of the budget office had disagreed over how much the latter released to the OHSF.
The committee, which is chaired by Mr. Solomon Olamilekan, insisted on Thursday that Adelakun must explain how the N35bn was spent. At Thursday’s session, the permanent secretary and officials of the budget office had disagreed over how much the latter released to the OHSF.
The records of the budget office showed that in 2004, the OHSF
received N2.7bn; N9.8m in 2005; N701.7m in 2006; N896.3m in 2007; N5.3bn
in 2008 and another N612.9m; and N70m in 2009.
For 2010, the figure was N17.6bn; in 2011, it was N13.6bn and N8.5bn in 2012. However, the OHSF admitted the N17.6bn released in 2010.

Olamilekan ruled that the permanent secretary must produce documents
on how the balance of over N35bn was utilized within two weeks.
In a separate case, the committee directed the Central Bank of
Nigeria to refund the N1.015bn it spent in 2007 to print 65 million
ballot papers for that year’s presidential election.
The committee stated that there were “double payments” for the ballot papers, which it said the bank could not explain adequately.

Although the Director, Corporate Services, CBN, Mr. Dipo Fatokun, who
represented the bank, denied the alleged double payments, the committee
insisted that the bank made contradictory submissions.
Fatokun said, “There was no double payment. When we first appeared
before the committee, we did not check our records very well and that
was why we thought there were double payments.”
WE GETTING SO USED TO THIS WE ARE NO LONGER SURPRISED BY IT AT ALL, NOW WE JUST BE LIKE YEAH YEAH.

I AM A BODY AND FAMILY OF LA CREAM ENTERTAINMENT - CHOCOTIFAH
If you are the type who follows entertainment news quite constantly in Krockcity then the name Chocotifah will not sound strange to you. She is an HND 2 student of Kaduna Polytechnic studying Public Admin. I first met ONG as she is fondly called on independence day last year at an event organized by a TV Station (DITV) in Kaduna @ the Command Guest Inn to commemorate the day. She was the only female artiste that performed @ the event (Atleast till i left sha) and i couldn't help but marvel at her stage act and chemistry with the audience (I went straight and asked for her Pin immediately after her performance; how more impressed can one be?). Naturally dope is perhaps the best way to describe this hip hop sensation. Campus Vibes was able to squeeze some answers from the fast growing artiste; and she talks about her career and the challenges faced by artistes in the north.
Q: So who is chocotifah?
Oo°˚˚˚ Chocotifa is a hip hop rapper, born in a Hausa family of 6. my name is Khadija Muhammad and I grew up in Lasgidi. I am a Muslim by religion, currently in Kaduna State.
Q: So who'd you grow up listening to?
Fela, Joe, 2pac, Bob Marley, Blackstreet, Foxy brown, Queen Latifah, Ceelo green, Bone thugs, and Harmony.
Q: Wow.... That's a lot of big names who were @ tha top of their game in their time..... Would you say listening to them built that passion for music?
I am just inlove with music, infact I am a music addict. One big irony is that it was not my dream to be a rapper but that of a friend of mine called Sharon Ejeke who always dreamt that we'll do music and we'll ball hard the 3 of us; that's me, Sharon, and Lizzy. But at that time myself and Lizzy just laughed out loud and said sure she's just dreaming. 3yrs after she came up with the old dreams, I still refused to be a part of it until Gadafi, a big bro to us all talked to me. Finally I agreed to give it a try giving the condition that it was not my thing, but to my surprise I was trapped in the heart of music. So since I became in love with what am doing, I just kept the balling rolling.
Q: Now that's like the transition of a vampire, first you don't like the idea until the blood is so irresistible. But here is the odd thing... I have lived most of my life in the north and I know how hard it is to be a male artiste, So how would you describe being a female artiste in this part of the country were tradition shuns even the male practice, especially coming from a Hausa family?
Hmmmm not easy but its all ONG, meaning Omo Na God.
Q: So whats your family's stand about you taking music as a career?
Hmmmm they prefer me as a presenter rather than a musician. I'm only following my dreams.
Q: Well hope it pays to the peak of your expectations. So now that you are deep in the game how would you rate the level of entertainment in Krokcity or lets say the north generally?
Well the arewa part we trying but we should push more and respect artistes; pay them for their good job. They record and wear good clothes to look great for their fans out there, so pay them to grow and you'll grow too. Na investment, we use each other to get to our needs and make dreams come true. The radio stations should also help underground artistes to be recognized and so goes to the TV stations too.
Q: I can really relate to that.... So you are currently signed to a label right? If yes what label and how has the working condition and artiste-management relationship been?
Hahaha would love to keep that low. For now it is me, myself and God and ofcourse my dream builder Edris Abdulkarim so expect something from us the soonest.
Q: So you are not signed yet?
Not @ all but I am a body and family of La Cream Entertainment.
Q: Sometime earlier this month or maybe late last month I came across a list of 20 best songs currently getting massive downloads and air-plays in Kaduna compiled by MadeInKroKcity, and about two of your songs made the list, can you confirm that or am I mistaken?
Oo°˚˚˚ yes sure thanks 2 my fans you're not wrong.
Q: Nice... So how was the feeling of being appreciated enough to be voted?
I feel so happy about it. I just say ONG (Omo Na God)
Q: Categorically these are awards on their own, being in krokcity's own chart is big recognition. But is there any official award or nomination for any big gun title in the struggle so far?
Yeah I got 3 awards! 2 from the Kaduna State government as the best performing art @ the Arewa Festival (ARFEST) and the other one was awarded to me by my school (Kaduna Polytechnic) as the artist with the best swag.
Q: Yauwa that's what i'm talking about........ Thats really impressive.... So apart from the Mr legend himself Edris Abdulkareem, which other A-list artiste do you hope to work with in the nearest future?
Wow ehm Cynthia Morgan, Femi Kuti, Ice Prince, Eva, MI, Classiq and 2face.
Q: Thats one 'on-point' list you got there and hope you bag them all. So taking it deep, is the rap goddess taken by some lucky man or is she single and free so dudes like myself can start preparing our toast notes?
ℓoℓ crazy u, Oo°˚˚˚ she is taken sowie sweetheart.
Q: Hmmmmm well happy love life (what am i saying, i should be sad *tears drops down cheek)
Oo°˚˚˚ come on kiss kiss wipe the tears.
Q: (*Wipes tears off) So tell me if there is a misconception about you that you wanna clarify?
They say i got too much pride, and i don't. I'm only buying respect for myself. Don't get it twisted folks in "bangalee voice". ℓoℓ simple i jus say they never had the chance to be very close to know i'm not that girl they think i am. I'm just me and reality is the case.
Q: Hmmm well i know you are as humble as humble can be so don't worry about em.... So does that sweet talk get me a date?
Hahaha Oo°˚˚˚° k for real you gat me on this one.
Q:(*Smiles boastfully) So it is tradition that anytime i interview a rapper, he/she must drop some bars for me and the entire Campus vibes universe. So hit us with tha wordplay and punchlines.
Lets go gimme some beat box, am a queen latifah,
